Alok Tiwari works as a Trained General and Vascular Surgeon. He is qualified from Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School in 1996. Basic surgical training was undertaken at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Essex. He obtained the M.S. degree in 2003 from the University of London for his thesis on development of a hybrid cardiovascular graft using a tissue engineering approach. He then undertook his higher surgical training in London and Australia. He has been appointed as a Consultant Vascular Surgeon at the University Hospitals Birmingham. His many research interests include abdominal compartment syndrome and lower limb bypass surgery.
