Involved in more than 80 nonclinical and clinical trials (phase I, II & III) of several New Chemical Entities (NCEs). Responsible for biostatistical and pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic data analysis; co-responsible for Clinical Trial Protocols (CTPs), Clinical Trial Reports (CTRs), and member of Steering Committees for Phase III studies. Deeply involved in the development of the first Portuguese Medicine (Eslicarbazepine Acetate [Zebinix®; Exalief®]; Laboratories BIAL - Portugal) that reach the market in 2010. Deeply involved in the development of the first Portuguese Radiopharmaceutical (Fluodesoxiglucose [18F] UC [FDG?UC]; ICNAS Production - University of Coimbra; Portugal) that reach the market in 2012. Experience in EMA and FDA meetings during the drug development process of several NCEs. Author or co-author in more than 300 oral and poster communications & more than 150 publications.
