Apostolos Epivatianos

Apostolos Epivatianos was born in Thessaloniki, Greece, in 1948. He received a degree in dentistry and the Ph.D. degree from the Dental School of University of Thessaloniki in 1974 and 1981, respectively. In 1982, he became a Lecturer at the Department of Oral Medicine and Oral Pathology at the same school, and in 1985-1986, he worked as an Honorary Lecturer at the Department of Oral Pathology of king's College of Medicine and Dentistry in London. In 1987, he served as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Oral Medicine and Oral Pathology, University of Thessaloniki. In 1999, he served as an Associate Professor and in 2009 was promoted to the title of Professor and became the Head of the same department. He is mainly interested in oral pathology especially in salivary gland diseases and tumors and in soft-tissue tumors. He is a Member of International Association of Dental Research in the European Division and in Balkan Association of Stomatology.
