Pascal Le Corre
Pascal Le Corre received his Pharm.D. (1985) and Ph.D. (1990) degrees in pharmaceutical sciences from the University of Rennes 1 (France) and completed an internship in pharmacy from 1983 to 1989 at the University Hospital in Rennes. He is the Chair of the Department of Pharmacy of the University Hospital in Rennes and has special involvement in clinical pharmacy in oncology. He is the Chair of the Department of Pharmaceutics, Biopharmaceutics, and Clinical Pharmacy at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Rennes 1, where he teaches theoretical and clinical biopharmaceutics and pharmacokinetics. His recent research was in the field of microparticles to modify the rate and extent of drug biodistribution, especially in the area of epidural and intrathecal administration for drugs used for local anesthesia and pain. His current research focuses on the maternofoetal transport of xenobiotics in animal models to better delineate the factors involved in the maternofoetal transport (transporters, pregnancy stage) and foetal tissue distribution. These works are carried out at INSERM IRSET U1085 Research Unit (epidemiological research on environment, reproduction, and development). His areas of expertise include biopharmaceutics, pharmacokinetics, drug transport, ex vivo and in vivo models, clinical pharmacy, and oncology.
