Aberystwyth University, United Kingdom
Jun He received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in mathematics in 1989 and 1992, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in computer science in 1995, all from Wuhan University, China. He serves currently as a Lecturer at the Department of Computer Science at Aberystwyth University, UK. From 1995 to 1998, he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Department of Computer Science, Harbin Institute of Technology. From 1998 to 2001, he worked as an Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Science, Beijing Jiaotong University, China. In 2001, He moved to the UK and worked at the School of Computer Science, University of Birmingham, as a Research Fellow, until 2007. His research focuses on evolutionary computation for optimization, learning, simulation and modeling, especially in the following research issues: complexity analysis of bioinspired optimization algorithms, mixed strategy heuristic algorithm for global optimization, hybrid evolutionary computation techniques for feature selection, artificial immune system for computer security, and evolutionary approach to adaptive model building. He has published over 60 peer-reviewed papers in international conference proceedings and academic journals.
