Shutao Li received the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Hunan University, Changsha, China, in 1995, 1997, and 2001, respectively. From May 2001 to October 2001, he worked as a Research Associate at the Department of Computer Science, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Clear Water Bay, NT, Hong Kong. From November 2002 to November 2003, he served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Royal Holloway College, University of London, Egham, UK. From April 2005 to June 2005, he worked as a Visiting Professor at the Department of Computer Science, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He serves currently as a Full Professor at the College of Electrical and Information Engineering, Hunan University. He has authored or coauthored more than 100 refereed papers. His professional interests are information fusion, pattern recognition, computational intelligence, and image processing. He has won two Second-Grade National Awards at Science and Technology Progress of China in 2004 and 2006.
