María. F. Martín Cancho graduated from the faculty of pharmacy, University of Salamanca, Spain, in 1995. After that she joints the Minimally Invasive Surgery Centre Jesus Usón where she started her research career. In 1999 obtained her PhD degree in veterinary science with honours. Since then she is the head of the pharmacy service at the Minimally Invasive Surgery Centre Jesus Usón. Her research has been focused on preclinical studies in different experimental models of high -incidence diseases (diabetes, vascular and cardiac pathology QLCS ...). Her research areas also include the evaluation of new anesthetic techniques and intraoperative monitoring, postoperative studies focusing on ventilation, pathophysiological responses and hemodynamic stress responses during laparoscopic surgery, thoracoscopic surgery and vascular microsurgery. One of his main research line focuses on the monitoring of the degree of activation of the autonomic nervous system during surgery.
