Hilary W. Thompson
H. Thompson holds a Ph.D. in physiology and a Minor in applied statistics from LSU His primary appointment at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center is in the Department of Ophthalmology. He is the Biostatistician for the Ophthalmology Departments NIH Center of Research Excellence Grant, and Director of the LSU Eye Centers Clinical Trials and Biometry Unit. Dr. Thompson is also an Adjunct Associate Professor in the School of Public Health department of Biometry, an Adjunct Associate Professor of Neuroscience, and an Adjunct Associate Professor of Medicine. Dr. Thompson assists many investigators of these departments in various phases of studies including experimental planning, data management, and statistical analysis of the data. His research interests are in the development of statistical methods for the analysis of information in biomedical images and, in particular, in time series of such images.
