Robert Luxenhofer acts currently as a Professor of functional polymer materials at the University of Würzburg. In 2007, he completed his Ph.D. degree at the Technische Universität München, München, Germany, in the field of polymer chemistry. After postdoc work on drug delivery and endocytosis of polymers with Alexander Kabanov at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, USA, he moved to the Technische Universität Dresden, Germany, in 2009, as a Research Fellow of King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST). His research interests include synthesis of tailored polymers, in particular pseudopolypeptides, for biomedical applications and interaction between polymers and mammalian cells.
