Rafael Coveñas

Rafael Coveñas was born on 21st September in 1957.Coveñas works as an Associate Professor of cell biology at the Faculty of Biology, University of Salamanca, Salamanca, Spain and the Head of the Laboratory of Neuroanatomy of the peptidergic systems in the Institute of Neuroscience of Castilla y León ,Salamanca, Spain. Rafael Coveñas received a Ph.D. degree in biological sciences from Faculty of Biology, University of Sevilla (Spain) .Coveñas areas of interest include neuropeptides distribution and functions in the mammalian central nervous system (brainstem and diencephalon),neuropeptides and cancer (substance P, NK-1 receptor, NK-1 receptor antagonists),and multiple sclerosis.
