Homayoun Amini

Homayoun Amini Homayoun Amini was born in 1966 in Kashan, Iran. He received a MD degree from the School of Medicine, Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) (Tehran, 1993). He then completed an adult psychiatry residency at TUMS-affiliated Roozbeh Hospital (Tehran, 1999). Since then, he has been an academic psychiatrist specializing in schizophrenia and mood disorders. In 2006, he took a position as associate professor of psychiatry at Roozbeh Hospital in Tehran. After his medical training, he obtained his MPH from the School of Public Health, TUMS in 2008. His clinical work and research has focused on first-episode psychosis, schizophrenia, mood disorders, and psychiatric epidemiology. In this work, he has published 36 scientific articles in international journals, and 17 scientific articles in national journals. He serves on a number of editorial boards of national psychiatric journals. He is now a member of the National Board of Psychiatry in Iran and works as deputy for education at Roozbeh Hospital, Tehran, Iran.
