Paul T. Fawcett
Paul T. Fawcett was born in1955 in Lowell, Mass, USA. A graduate of the University of Lowell (University of Massachusetts at Lowell), he received a B.S. degree in biological science in 1978 and an M.S. degree in biological science in 1982. In 1986, he received a Ph.D. degree in chemistry/biochemistry from the University of Lowell, Mass, USA. Since 1986, Fawcett has worked as the Head of Immunology Laboratories at the Nemours Foundation/ Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, Delaware. He is currently the Director of the Center for Clinical Diagnostics and the Director of the Life Science Center and Transplant Laboratory for Nemours. He holds academic appointments at the Department of Pediatrics at Thomas Jefferson Medical College and the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Delaware. His main areas of interest include the humoral and cellular aspects of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases with particular focus in juvenile idiopathic arthritis and lyme borreliosis.
