National Renewable Energy Laboratory, USA

Prakash Basnyat as is a Postdoctoral Researcher working at National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), Golden, Colorado, USA. Prakash Basnyat obtained B.Sc. (1992) and M.Sc. (1995) in Physics from Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, Nepal. Prakash Basnyat got M.S. degree (2006) from Southern Illinois University Carbondale and Ph. D. degree (2013) in Applied Physics under joint doctoral program of New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), Newark, New Jersey and Rutgers the State University of New Jersey. Prakash Basnyat worked as a Research Assistant at the National Center for Photovoltaics from 2010 to 2013. Areas of research are nitride based nanocomposite thin films, Heusler compounds based on magnetic rare earth material, and materials science of silicon solar cells. Currently his work focuses in the general area of semiconductors with emphasis on silicon materials and solar cell technology. Work results have been published in several international peer-reviewed journals such as Applied Physics Letters, Journal of Physics: Condensed Matter, Surface and Coatings Technology, Journal of Applied Physics, Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, Review of Scientific Instruments etc. These papers have received more than two hundred citations till now. The scientific results from these works were presented in various conferences and were well received by the participants. In addition, I have been working as a reviewer of various journals of magnetism and condensed matter physics, Solar Energy Materials and Solar Cells etc and reviewed and adjudicated various articles. Recently I contributed as a guest editor for Photovoltaic Materials and Devices 2016, an annual issue of International Journal of Photoenergy.
