Keiji Hirose

Osaka University, Japan

Keiji Hirose received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the Department of Chemistry, Graduate School of Science, Osaka University, Japan, under the direction of Professor Soichi Misumi, in 1985 and 1988, respectively. From 1989 to 1991, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at RWTH Aachen, Germany, under the direction of Professor Dr. W. Keim. From 2000 to 2007, he was an Associate Professor at the Department of Chemical Science and Engineering, Graduate School of Engineering Science, Osaka University. since 2007, he has been an Associate Professor at the Division of Frontier Materials Science, Department of Materials Engineering Science, Graduate School of Engineering Science, Osaka University. His fields of interest include the molecular recognition especially by means of spectrometer for chirality sensors, Ziegler-Natta polymerization chemistry, the applications of biocatalyst for organic synthesis, and creation of molecular machines.
