Haimin Wang

Haimin Wang is a Distinguished Professor of physics at New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), Newark, NJ, USA. He is the Director of the Space Weather Research Laboratory, Center for Solar Terrestrial Research, NJIT. Professor Wang obtained his B.S. degree in 1982 from Nanjing University, Nanjing, China, and his Ph.D. degree in 1988 from California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, CA, USA. Professor Wang's research areas are solar magnetic fields, solar flares, filament eruptions and coronal mass ejections, coronal heating, solar jets in different scales, and space weather prediction. He has published over 200 papers in refereed journals.
