Johanna Laukkarinen holds M.D. and Ph.D. degrees and works as the Chief of GI Surgery at Tampere University Hospital, Finland. She serves as a Pancreatic Surgeon and is responsible for HPB surgery in the second biggest pancreas clinic in Finland. Her main research interests include acute pancreatitis, pancreatic surgery, and biodegradable biliopancreatic stents. She serves as the Leader and Private Investigator of Tampere Pancreas Laboratory. In the research field she has also worked abroad, in Boston Pancreas Group for three years and Singapore General hospital for two years.
