Cristina Femoni got her Degree cum laude in industrial chemistry on 11/11/1994 at the Faculty of Industrial Chemistry in Bologna University. During her last year she spent three months within the ERASMUS project at the Department of Inorganic Chemistry, Reading University (U.K.). On January 1995 she obtained a Grant from the European Comett Project to work for seven months at the pharmaceutical firm Boehringer Ingelheim France, Compiègne branch (France). On 23/02/1999 she obtained her Ph.D. degree in chemical sciences. During this period she was visiting scientist at Liverpool University (UK), Department of Chemistry. From April 1999, she obtained a two-year grant to work on the project “Molecular metallic nanoparticles” at the Department of Physical and Inorganic Chemistry of Bologna University. Since 1 July 2001 she has been a research assistant and lecturer at Department of Physical and Inorganic Chemistry, Bologna University. In March 2009 she was a visiting scientist at the Department of Physics Nanoscience Center, University of Jyväskylä, Finland. Dr. Femoni was appointed to teach the following courses: laboratory of general and inorganic chemistry; inorganic materials; X-ray diffraction, and laboratory. Dr. Femoni is coauthor of 76 papers on international journals and over 50 communications in national and international congresses. She also supervised or assisted 17 graduated and under-graduated students in their degree and Ph.D. degree thesis. Her research interest is transition metal cluster carbonyl compounds.
