Jing You is currently a Professor in the State Key Laboratory of Organic Geochemistry at the Guangzhou Institute of Geochemistry, the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Guangzhou, China. She received her B.S. degree from the Changchun University of Science and Technology, Changchun, China, in 1996 and a Ph.D. degree in chemistry from the Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics, CAS, Lanzhou, China, in 2000. She became fascinated by ecological risk assessment studies when conducting her postdoctoral research with Dr. Michael Lydy at the Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, IL, USA. You's areas of research interest are to assess exposure, toxicity, and risks of environmental contaminants, with a particular focus on bioavailability of organic contaminants in sediment.
