Zhiming Hao

Zhiming Hao was born in Shanxi, China, in 1966. He received the M.D. degree from the Yan’an Medical College (Yan’an, Shaanxi Province, China) in 1988, the M.S. degree in medical sciences from the West China University of Medical Sciences in 1993, and the Ph.D. degree from the Xi’an Jiaotong University (Xi’an, China) in 2002. From 1993 to 1999, Hao worked at the Department of digestive diseases, 1st Affiliated Hospital, School of Medicine, Xi’an Jiaotong University, China as a Physician. From 2002 to 2005, he did research works on multidrug resistance of Gastric cancer at the Key Laboratory of Cancer Biology in the 4th Military Medical University (Xi’an China) as a Postdoctoral Fellow. Now, Hao is an Associate Professor in internal medicine. His research fields are the experimental therapeutics of hepatic fibrosis (mainly interested in the research of anticytokine vaccine for the treatment of hepatic fibrosis) and malignancies in digestive system (gastric and liver cancer). He is Proficient in biotechniques including genetic engineering, immunology, and cell biology. Hao has received four grants from the National Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and several other grants. He is a Young Member of Chinese Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (CSPEN) and a Young Member of Shaanxi Branch of Chinese Society of Gastroenterology.
