Roberto Cammi was born in December 1954 in Busseto, Italy. He received the Laurea degree in Chemistry in 1979 from the University of Parma, Parma, Italy. He is currently a Full Professor at the University of Parma. From 1983 to 1999, he was a Researcher, and from 1999 to 2002, he became an Associated Professor at the same university. He was a Visiting Professor at University of Copenhagen (1997), University of Tromso (2002), University of Karlshrue (2003), Notre-Dame University (2005), Institute of Applied Mathematics (IMA), University of Minnesota (2008), Quantum Chemistry Research Institute (2009), and Institute of Molecular Science, Japan (2010). His main research areas are molecular interactions, group theory and symmetry in chemistry, quantum chemical continuum solvation models, and computational theories of electric and magnetic response properties of molecules in dense phases.
