Manlio Gaudioso

Manlio Gaudioso works as a Full Professor of operations research at Università della Calabria, Cosenza, Italy. He obtained the "Laurea" degree in electrical engineering, Università di Napoli, Italy, in December 1973 and then completed the following postgraduate courses: corso di specializzazione in Ingegneria dei Sistemi di Controllo e Calcolo Automatici, Università di Roma, Roma, Italy, 1974; optimization and numerical analysis, Department of Mathematics, University of Kentucky, Lexington, Ky, USA, 1980. His research interests include numerical methods for nonsmooth optimization, applied optimization for logistic systems design and planning, and optimization software. Gaudioso received grants from Università di Roma, 1974, and C.N.R., 1976–1979. Gaudioso served as a Member of the Administration Board of the Università della Calabria from 2004 to 2007, the Dean of the Doctorate School in Operations Research at Università della Calabria from 2000 to 2003, and a referee for many leading journals in operations research and in optimization.
