Mohamed El-Gebeily

Mohamed El-Gebeily is a Professor of mathematics at the King Fahd University of Petroleum and Mienarls, Saudi Arabia, since 2003. He received his B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the Alexandria University, Egypt, in 1975 and his Ph.D. degree in mathematics from the Oklahoma State University, Okla, USA, in 1984. He was rewarded the degree of honour, first rank from the Alexandria university, in 1975 and the Machlachlan Award as a distinguished graduate student from the Department of Mathematics, the Oklahoma State university, in 1982. Currently, he is a Member of a research group in wavelets and variational inequalities at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals. The main interests of the group are singal processing with wavelets, variational inequalities, and optimization.
