Mohamed A. El-Gebeily

Mohamed A. El-Gebeily is a Professor of mathematics at King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minarls since 2003. He received his B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Alexandria University, Alexandria, Egypt in 1975 and his Ph.D. degree in mathematics from Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, Okla USA, in 1984. He was rewarded the degree of honour, first rank from Alexandria University in 1975 and the Machlachlan Award as a distinguished graduate student from the Department of Mathematics, Oklahoma State University in 1982. Currently, he is a Member of a research group in wavelets and variational inequalities in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals. The main interests of the group are: signal processing with wavelets, variational inequalities and optimization.
