Alexander Ypma
Alexander Ypma received his Ph.D. degree from Delft University of Technology in 2001 on learning methods for machine vibration analysis and health monitoring. He then worked as a Postdoctor at the Foundation for Neural Networks SNN at Radboud University Nijmegen on probabilistic graphical models for data mining. In 2005, he moved to the Research and Development Center of hearing instrument manufacturer GN ReSound A/S at Eindhoven, The Netherlands, where he is a Senior Research Scientist involved in the development of Bayesian machine learning techniques for hearing instruments. His scientific interest is in the application of (Bayesian) machine learning methods to dynamical systems, in particular, for sound processing and personalization.
