Naresh C. Das
Naresh C. Das works as a Physicist at Army Research Laboratory in Md, USA. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in physics from Utkal University, India, September 1986. Dr. Das is a Lead Researcher in developing midwave infrared (MWIR) LED arrays for IR scene projection for various DoD missions and MDA programs. He received funding for three year $2.1M BAA Grant from ATC to develop large format MWIR and LWIR LED arrays. He has been invited by other DoD agencies to evaluate MWIR LED research proposals for IRSP applications. During his work at NASA/GSFC, Greenbelt, Md, as an employee of Raytheon, he successfully completed many projects, such as low-noise cryogenic Si-JFET and polysilicon resistor light sources for the Gravity Probe-II (GPB), and IRAC (Infrared Advance camera) space flight projects, respectively. Dr. Das did research and developmental work on devices made from three different technologies: Silicon (CCD and polysilicon resistor array), Germanium (FETs), and Gallium-Arsenide (QWIPs).
