Huijun Liu
0000-0001-5801-7217Huijun Liu received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from Wuhan University, Hubei, China in 1995 and 1998, respectively. He completed his Ph.D. degree at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), Hong Kong in 2003. He joined the Physics Department of Wuhan University in 2004 as an Associate Professor and became a Full Professor in 2008. Professor Liu's main research interest is application of first-principles and related methods to study the structural, electronic, and other physical properties of nanoscale systems. Other research topics are related to new energy sources which include high-performance thermoelectric materials and advanced Li-ion batteries. He has been the Principal Investigator of two NSFC grants and one NCET program, and the Participator of one "973" program of China.
