Miguel Ruiz-Gómez

Miguel Ruiz-Gómez was born in Málaga, Spain, in 1967. He received the Ph.D. degree in biology from the University of Málaga (UMA), Málaga, Spain, in 1997. He spent a Postdoctoral period of research at the Radiobiological Institute, University of Munich (LMU), Munich, Germany. Since 1991, Ruiz-Gómez has been working at the Group of Radiobiology (Radiology and Physical Medicine Department, Faculty of Medicine, UMA). Currently, he serves as an associated professor of radiobiology and biomechanics and a senior researcher. His research interest focuses on (1) effects of electromagnetic fields on biological systems, (2) cellular aging, (3) molecular radiobiology, (4) nanoparticles, and (5) biological dosimetry.
