Vyacheslav Vorobjev

Vyacheslav Vorobjev was born in 1947. He graduated from the Leningrad State University in 1971, defended the first doctor thesis (the Ph.D. degree) in 1978, and obtained his D.S. degree in 2004. He is currently the Head of the “Polar Aurorae” Laboratory of the Polar Geophysical Institute, Kola Science Center, Russian Academy of Science, Moscow, Russia. His areas of expertise include auroral precipitation; dayside and nightside aurora, their spectral and morphological characteristics and connection with the solar wind plasma and IMF; dayside polar cusp; high-latitude magnetic impulsive events (MIEs) and traveling convection vortexes (TCVs); auroral and geomagnetic pulsations; auroral and magnetospheric substorm; magnetic storm; magnetospheric structure.
