Professor Cory Xian (NHMRC Senior Research Fellow, Professor of Bone Research, University of South Australia) obtained his PhD in 1993 from Murdoch University (Western Australia). He has been interested in research into tissue growth, injury repair and roles of growth factors/cytokines and progenitor cells. His earlier research positions include those at Child Health Research Institute, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Flinders University, University of Adelaide, and Women’s and Children’s Hospital. Since 2001, he has been leading his research group conducting research on bone growth, growth plate injury repair, cancer chemotherapy-induced bone defects, and osteoporosis. Dr Xian serves as editorial board members for 9 international scientific journals, Associate Editors for Int J Cell Biol and for Int J Oncol Res, and Managing Editor for Front Biosci.
