Andrew Mills

Andrew Mills gained his first degree at Westfield College, University of London, and his Ph.D. degree in 1983 at the Royal Institution. Appointed as a Lecturer of inorganic chemistry in 1982 at Swansea University, awarded a Personal Chair in chemistry in 1994, Professor Mills moved to the Chemistry Department at University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, to take up the James Young Chair in applied chemistry. His research interests include optical sensors and dye and semiconductor photochemistry. Professor Mills has written over 200 research papers in international journals and is on the editorial board of several international journals.
