Xyoli Perez-Campos

User Biography : Prof Xyoli Perez-Campos Xyoli Perez-Campos obtained her Ph.D. degree from Stanford University, CA, USA. Afterwards, she was a Postdoctoral Scholar at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech). She then returned to Mexico as an Assistant Professor at the School of Engineering of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). After two years, she was transferred to the Institute of Geophysics (UNAM), where she is currently a Professor. From August 2011 to July 2012, she spent her sabbatical as a visitor faculty at Caltech. Her main research areas are earthquake source and seismic structure. She has been a PI in the MesoAmerican Subduction Experiment (in collaboration with Caltech and UCLA) and the Veracruz-Oaxaca (VEOX) experiment (in collaboration with Caltech) to map the subduction of Cocos plate underneath North American plate.
