Yih-Jer Wu was born in 1966. In 1985-1992, Wu got the M.D. degree from the School of Chinese Medicine, China Medical University, Taichung, Taiwan. In 1992-1994, he got the M.S. degree from the Institute of Traditional Medicine, College of Medicine, National Yang-Ming University, Taipei, Taiwan. In 2003-2006, Dr. Wu got the Ph.D. degree from the Bristol Heart Institute, University of Bristol, Bristol, UK. Currently, Wu works as a Senior Consultant Cardiologist, Cardiovascular Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, Mackay Memorial Hospital, Taipei, Taiwan and Assistant Professor of Medicine, Department of Medicine, Mackay Medical College, San Jhih, New Taipei, Taiwan. Wu's areas of expertise include atherosclerosis: molecular mechanisms, diabetic vasculopathy, heart failure with preserved systolic function, and vascular intervention. Wu is a Member of the Editorial Board of International Journal of Gerontology and Acta Cardiologica Sinica.
