Peter Nemeth is a Professor of immunology and Head of the Department of Immunology and Biotechnology at the University of Pecs, Hungary, from 1996 till present. He was born in 1948 at Szombathely, Hungary, and graduated in 1973 at the University Medical School of Pecs. His Ph.D. thesis was “Functional morphological investigations on B cell lymphoma models,” 1987. He published 109 papers and delivered 192 lectures in major domestic and international scientific meetings. Nemeth's fields of interest are basic and applied immunology, developmental immunology, pathomechanism of autoimmune diseases, studying the role of genetically conserved antigens in the physiological, and pathological immune reactions.
