Joseph W. Bartges
Dr. Joe Bartges hails from West Virginia and is a graduate of Marshall University in 1983. He received his DVM from the University of Georgia in 1987. After completing an internship, residencies in internal medicine and nutrition, and a PhD from the University of Minnesota in 1994, he was on faculty at the University of Georgia until he joined the faculty at The University of Tennessee in 1997. He is currently Professor of Medicine and Nutrition and holds the Acree Endowed Chair of Small Animal Research at The University of Tennessee. His interests include nephrology and urology and nutrition, and he has published more than 250 articles and book chapters and spoken at more than 200 meetings. He and Dr. Donna Raditic have 3 children: Patrice who is 22, Garrick who is 19, and their 10-year-old Boxer, Buddy.
