Amador Terán-Gilmore

Amador Teran Gilmore was born in Mexico City, Mexico. He obtained a B.S. degree in civil engineering from Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, Tlalpan, DF, Mexico, an M.S. degree in civil engineering from the University of Texas, Austin, TX, USA, and a Ph.D. degree in civil engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, CA, USA. He has been a Full-Time Professor at Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, since 1989, and a Guest Professor at several universities. He has authored several publications in the field of earthquake engineering. His principal research areas are seismic design methodologies, structural evaluation and rehabilitation of buildings, and dynamic analysis of structural systems.
