Jun Luo received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from the Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 1997 and 2000, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in computer science from EPFL (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne), Lausanne, Switzerland, in 2006. From 2006 to 2008, he worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Waterloo, Canada. In 2008, he joined the faculty of the School of Computer Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, where he is currently working as an Assistant Professor, and he also serves as the Deputy Director of Centre for Multimedia and Network Technology. His research interests include wireless networking, distributed systems, multimedia protocols, network, modeling and performance analysis, applied operations research, as well as network security.
