Fritz Gesztesy
Fritz Gesztesy received his Ph.D. degree at the University of Graz, Graz, Styria, Austria, in 1976. He joined the University of Missouri, Columbia, Mo, USA, in 1988. He has had longer research stays at the Universities of Bielefeld (Northrhine-Westphalia, Germany), Caltech (Pasadenam, Calif, USA), Leuven (Leuven, Belgium), LPTHE-Orsay, (Paris XI, France), CNRS, (Marseille, France), Trondheim (Trondheim, Norway), and Vienna (Vienna, Austria). He held a Humboldt Fellowship (University of Bielefeld, Germany, 1980–81 and 1983–84) and was elected to the Royal Norwegian Society of Science and Letters, Trondheim, Norway, on January 1st, 2002. His research interests include mathematical physics, spectral theory, differential equations, and completely integrable systems.
