Dimitar Radev received the M.S. degree in automatics in 1984 and the Ph.D. degree in automatics in 1997 at the University of Rousse. From 1987 to 2001, he served as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the University of Rousse. From 2001 to 2008, he worked as an Associated Professor at the Department of Communication Technique and Technologies, where he became a Doctor of Science on Telecommunications at 2006. Since 2008, he works as a Professor of Telecommunication Engineering at the Department of Communication Technique and Technologies at the University of Rousse. He has been working as the Scientific Manager of more than 30 European international and national research projects of telecommunication topics. His scientific research are connected with queuing theory, teletraffic engineering, modeling and computer simulation of communication systems, performance analysis of QoS parameters, rare event simulation, next generation wireless networks. He revised papers in international journals such as International Journal of Mobile Network Design and Innovation, Mathematical Problems in Engineering, World Review of Science, Technology and Sustainable Development, Journal of Electrical Engineering. He has published more than 150 scientific papers, including 10 textbooks and one patent. He is a Member of Scientific Council of the Bulgarian branch of IFAC and a Member of Scientific Council of the Bulgarian branch of URSI.
