Alexandre Giuliani obtained his Ph.D. degree in 2003 from Université de Liege (Belgium) under the supervision of Dr. Marie-Jeanne Hubin-Franskin and Professor Jacques Delwiche in molecular spectroscopy using electron energy loss and photoabsorption methods. After a two-year postdoctoral stay at the Institut de Chimie des Susbtances Naturelles in the laboratory of Professor Olivier Laprévote, where he learnt analytical mass spectrometry, he joined INRA (Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique) in 2006 to work at the SOLEIL synchrotron radiation facility, where he is on secondment at present.
