Ricardo Correa has over 15 years of scientific experience in biochemistry and molecular biology, with previous industrial experience in the development of analytical methods. He is an expert in PCR-based approaches and lentiviral optimization, focusing gene overexpression and shRNA delivery. He also has ten years of research experience with cellular signaling pathways involving cancer, inflammation, embryogenesis, and immune response, being authored and coauthored 35 research publications in high impact journals. He obtained a broad international scientific experience, working at well-recognized institutions like The Salk Institute (CA, USA), University College London (London, UK) and Universidade de Sao Paulo (SP, Brazil). His current duties include coresponsibility by the development of biochemical and cell-based HTS assays and management/training of postdoc fellows in the Virology and Immunology areas at the Sanford Burnham Prebys (SBP) Medical Discovery Institute (CA, USA).
