Omkar Dandekar

Omkar Dandekar received the B.E. degree in biomedical engineering from the University of Mumbai, India, in 2000, and the M.S. degree in electrical engineering from the Ohio State University, Columbus, in 2004. He is currently a doctoral candidate at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Maryland, College Park. He has worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. His primary interests include medical imaging, digital VLSI design, and hardware acceleration of image processing algorithms. Currently, his research work is focused on real-time 3D imaging and advanced image processing and analysis for image-guided interventions.
