Wissam El-Hage studied medicine from 1991 to 1997. He received an MD degree, along with a psychiatrist qualification, and a Ph.D. degree from the University François Rabelais of Tours, France, in 2002 and 2003, respectively. He spent two years in his Senior Registrar Assistantship (2002 –2004) in adult psychiatry. Since 2004, he has served as a Medical Practitioner in the Department of Psychiatry, University Hospital of Tours, France. He is currently Assistant Professor of Adult Psychiatry at the University Hospital of Tours, France. Since 2007, he has served as a Senior Research Associate of the Team 4 affective disorders: from fundamental to clinical neurosciences of the UMR INSERM U930, at the University François Rabelais of Tours, France (https://eq4-u930.sciences.univ-tours.fr/). In 2007, he spent one year as a Visiting Associate Researcher at the Institute of Psychiatry, King's College London, in the Department of Psychological Medicine, London, UK. He is mainly interested in the study of neurocognitive and cerebral correlates of depression and posttraumatic stress disorder at adulthood.
