Kui Wu received his Ph.D. degree in computing science from the University of Alberta, Canada in 2002. He then joined the Department of Computer Science, University of Victoria, Canada in the same year, where he serves currently as an Associate Professor. His research interests include quality of service (QoS), mobile and wireless networks, sensor networks, network performance modeling and evaluation, and network security. During his sabbatical leave in 2008-2009, he performed research in QoS modeling and evaluation with stochastic network calculus, as a Visiting Researcher at the Centre for Quantifiable Quality of Service in Communication Systems, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and a Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS). He serves as a Visiting Scholar at the University of Tsukuba, and a Senior Research Fellow at the City University of Hong Kong.
