Qiang Cheng

Qiang Cheng, born in 1980, is an Associate Professor of College of Mechanical Engineering and Applied Electronics at Beijing University of Technology. He received his Ph.D. degree in mechanical design from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China. He specializes in the product adaptable design and robust design method. His recent research interests include adaptable design method, modular design method, product platform design method, analytical robust design method, and its application in machine tool design. His research work involves many applications of design structure matrix in product design, and some have appeared in refereed articles published in journals such as Concurrent Engineering: Research and Applications, Journal of Mechanical Science and Technology, Quality and Reliability Engineering International, and Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering. He also serves as a Referee for journals such as Journal of Mechanical Science and Technology and International Journal of Manufacturing Technology.
