Norma Allemann serves as an Adjunct Professor at the Department of Ophthalmology, Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP) and as a Visiting Professor at the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). She earned the B.S. degree in medicine (1986), the M.A. degree (1994), and the Ph.D. degree (1998) in clinical medicine and ophthalmology from Federal University of São Paulo, Brazil. She works as a Professor at the postgraduation program since 2000. She became the President of the Brazilian Society of Echography in Ophthalmology. Her areas of expertise include comprehensive ophthalmology, refractive surgery, cornea, ophthalmic ultrasound, ultrasound biomicroscopy, anterior segment optical coherence tomography, color Doppler, and optical and ultrasound biometry.
