Alessandro Rossi, M.D., serves as a Full Professor of psychiatry at the University of L’Aquila in L’Aquila, Italy, and as a Chief of the Clinical Psychology Unit, the University of L’Aquila at Villa Serena Medical Center. He works also as the Director of the Residency Program of Clinical Psychology of the University of L’Aquila. He received his medical training in L’Aquila, graduating in 1981 and completing his psychiatry residency in 1985. He worked as a Staff Psychiatrist at the S. Maria Collemaggio Hospital in L’Aquila and then as an Associate Professor of psychiatry at the University of L’Aquila, where he taught psychiatry and clinical psychology at the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry until 2002. As a Frequent Lecturer, he has published over 120 papers in many international journals and over 130 papers in many national journals and has written several book chapters. Additionally, he is on the Editorial Board of Psychiatry Research Neuroimaging and several other Italian journals. His current research interests focus on brain imaging as well as the clinical neuropsychology and clinical psychopharmacology of several mental disorders. He is a Member of several national associations in Italy, including the Società Italiana di Psichiatria. He acts as the Editor in Chief of the Italian Journal of Psychopathology.
