Abdel-Ghani Selim, after finishing medical school in 1986 and gaining an M.S. degree in pathology in 1992, joined St Bartholomew’s Hospital, University of London, London, UK in 1995, as a Clinical Research Fellow and Honorary Clinical Assistant to undertake Ph.D. studies where he gained his Ph.D. degree in 1999. Afterwards, he joined the specialist registrars’ rotation at North Thames Hospitals, London, where he continued his research, teaching, and clinical activities. He gained his MRCPath in 2002 and CCST in 2003. He was appointed in 2003 as a Consultant Histopathologist and Cytopathologist at King’s College Hospital, University of London where he continued his research activities, clinical, teaching, and management duties. In 2008, he was awarded FRCPath for his continuous clinical and academic contributions in the fields of histopathology and cytopathology. He has presented his research work in several international conferences and published several original articles in peer-reviewed journals.
