Dae-Duk Kim, Ph.D., born in 1963, is a professor of the Department of Pharmaceutics at Seoul National University. He received his Ph.D. in 1995 at the Department of Pharmaceutical Science at Rutgers-The State University of New Jersey under the guidance of Professor Yie W. Chien. He worked as a post-doctoral fellow at the Center for Bioengineering at the University of Washington in Seattle with Professor Thomas A. Horbett. He was a faculty member of the Department of Pharmaceutics at Pusan National University until he transferred to his current position at Seoul National University in 2003. His main research interests include: (1) transdermal and topcial skin delivery systems, (2) polymeric cell delivery systems, (3) nano/micro particles for controlled drug delivery, and (3) biopharmaceutics and pharmacokinetics.
