Hong Lu

Hong Lu holds an M.D. and a Ph.D. degrees. Currently, he works as Research Assistant Professor at the Department of Cell Biology and Anatomy, University of South Carolina School of Medicine, Columbia, SC, USA, and Adjunct Professor at the Saha Cardiovascular Research Center, University of Kentucky, Lexington, KY, USA. Lu's research area of intrest includes the mechanisms of vascular diseases including atherosclerosis, thoracic aortic aneurysms, and abdominal aortic aneurysms, the contribution of the renin angiotensin system to atherosclerosis, thoracic aortic aneurysms, and abdominal aortic aneurysms, and the contribution of mast cells and the related mechanisms in heart failure.
