Fangyang Zheng serves as a Professor at the Department of Mathematics at Ohio State University. He was born and raised in Sichuan Province of China, went to Sichuan University for undergraduate studies, and Academia Sinica for graduate studies. He then came to the USA to continue his graduate studies at UCSD and Harvard University and received his Ph.D. degree in 1989. Since then, he worked at MIT, Duke University, and Ohio State University. His research area is focused on differential geometry, with a special interest in complex manifolds.
